Food Donations

Your donations of food are more important than ever!

There are 1 in 5 children in Guilford County who are unsure when they will have their next meal. You can help!

Want to organize a non-perishable food drive with your school, faith community, civic group, or business?  Please contact Ellen@OutoftheGardenProject.org and we can help you get started.

We are always in need of these suggested food donation items:

  • Canned meat, chicken, or tuna
  • Canned vegetables, beans, and fruits
  • Canned pasta and soups
  • One pound bags of rice
  • Dry pasta and canned pasta sauce
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Individual cereal, oatmeal, or grits (instant and regular)
  • Peanut butter and plastic containers of jelly
  • Granola, fruit, or other healthy bars and snacks

We are unable to accept foods packed in glass jars as these can easily break and cause harm to our clients and volunteers.
